Rob is one of the founding partners of Haile Shaw & Pfaffenberger. Among the most important goals of the firm’s founding team was to ensure that every client receives the best legal care in a welcoming environment.

Rob is highly skilled in the areas of commercial litigation, trust and estates litigation, securities litigation, and employment litigation. He has tried scores of jury and non-jury trials involving breach of contract, securities fraud, registered representative disputes, theft of trade secrets, non-competition agreements, intellectual property disputes, partnership dissolutions and shareholder disputes. In addition, he has tried cases involving probate and trust litigation (will contests and the removal and surcharge of trustees), real estate disputes, commercial foreclosures, and receivership issues.

Born in New York City, Rob is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law. He was a member of the Fordham Law Review. Rob received his baccalaureate degree from Dartmouth College and was a law clerk for Justice Herbert S. MacDonald, Supreme Court of the State of Connecticut, the state’s highest Court.

Prior to the founding of Haile Shaw & Pfaffenberger, Rob was a partner with the Park Avenue law firm of Schulte Roth & Zabel. He also was associated with the Wall Street law firm of White & Case in New York City.

Rob is a member of the Florida and New York Bars. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Florida, and Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits.

Beyond the Law

Rob served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969 as a 1st Lieutenant. During his last year of service, he was stationed in Korea on the DMZ as a cavalry troop commander.
